Exhibitions > School Projects

During the Congress, schools from the Reims Academy will be present to showcase students' work in science. A dedicated program is scheduled over the two days of Monday, June 30, and Tuesday, July 1. Two 5th grade classes (CM2) will be welcomed to present their projects developed throughout the year: the "Solar Oven" project from Cousteau School in Troyes, and the "Sustainable Building Materials" project from Jean Moulin School in La Chapelle Saint-Luc. The schedule for these two days for the classes is as follows:**

Monday, June 30
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Visit to the Scientibus
12:00 PM – 12:45 PM: Lunch
12:45 PM – 1:45 PM: Presentation of the "Robots" activity by UTT students
1:45 PM – 3:15 PM: Presentation of the CM2 class projects to Congress attendees in the corridor of Building M. Feel free to come and see them.
The classes will be divided into three groups. The two groups not presenting will take part in the following activities in Hall N:
* Workshop 1: Comics, games
* Workshop 2: Hands-on experiments from the "Particle Accelerators" committee
3:15 PM – 4:00 PM: Tour of the UTT facilities

Tuesday, July 1

Do not hesitate to come and discover these projetcs and to encourage these students during their presentations!

Lundi 30 juin
13h45-15h15 Hall M

A class of CM2 pupils from the Cousteau School in Troyes conducted a science project investigating the use of solar energy. They built solar ovens and tested different parameters, such as colour, materials and insulation, to understand how to capture and conserve the sun's heat. They will lead workshops in which they will present their experiments and explain how solar ovens work.

Mardi 1er juillet
14h00-15h30 Hall M

A class of CM2 pupils from Jean Moulin School in La Chapelle-Saint-Luc undertook a project on sustainable building materials. They discovered different types of material, studied their properties (such as strength, impermeability and insulation), and conducted experiments to compare their durability and environmental impact. They will present their research in the form of workshops, sharing their experiments with others.

Programme 'Equal Opportunities' and 'Cordées de la Réussite'
During the Congress, we will also be welcoming high school students who will be participating in a work placement at UTT throughout the week. This internship is part of the Equal Opportunity and “Cordées de la Réussite” program led by UTT. Its goal is to support the career guidance of 10th-grade students from local schools (students from Herriot, Joliot Curie, and Bachelard high schools), by making higher education more accessible and expanding their horizons.

Over the course of three days, 20 students will take part in an immersive experience at UTT, combining lectures and conferences, thematic workshops, and discussions with professionals. The objectives are manifold:

* Discovering the university environment and new academic fields in a supportive setting,
* Building self-confidence and fostering autonomy,
* Sparking interest in science and technology,
* Gaining exposure to the professional world through a job dating session,
* Engaging in hands-on group work through practical workshops led by students.

This program goes well beyond a simple introduction to university life. It is a key moment in the students’ career exploration, designed to meet their needs at a pivotal point in their academic journey.

By providing concrete reference points and highlighting their strengths, the internship aims to boost self-confidence and encourage each student to shape a future that matches their ambitions.
